Class Description

This two-session class is designed to give students a basic introduction to knitting in the round with additional opportunity to learn the Yarn Over stitch – the foundation to knitting lace.  Students will knit a popular market bag pattern, Everlasting Bagstopper, designed by the editor of Knitty.com, Amy R. Singer.  They will learn how to work the base with an optional provisional cast on, how to pick up and knit stitches, and the basics of knitting in the round with circular needles.  Students will also have the option of learning how to make an ICord for an alternative handle/bag closure.  Made with any worsted or dk weight yarn in cotton or other natural fibers, you’ll be finished just in time for Farmers’ Market!
